This a topic I also put up in the American Family House Cow site , Australian answers are more local so may be more relevant . Thanks for any help
I started a new cow today , a small Jersey Dexter cross. I put her on the milking machine I also milk my Guernsey with . Milk started flowing and then I noticed blood in the rear quarter , after a minute I took that cup of. There were no clots in the milk .
, blood or white , I have an inline filter , I also pre milked to check. She has never been on a machine before . She has tiny thin teats. I took her away from her calf last night for good.
She was bred far too young I found out after I bought her , by that I mean under one .
Would love to hear good advice/ experience how to proceed. Thanks Tam.
