Wow it has been a long couple of years, and when things finally settled down I went to look at my canning forum and it is now a one woman blog

But I found you all here!

We have moved a couple of times but have been on the mid north coast of NSW for 2 years now. Life was rather a nightmare the first year we were here, but now hubby has gone on 6 month oncology visists as his cancer is static. I think I can even start preserving again. well - maybe when the roads are open enough for me to get some new lids. In the mean time I am going to try and make some plum sauce. I will bottle in FV and then I can put in pouring bottles when I open the bottle.

hope all those who are north and west of here are staying dry and safe.

Nice to see you found your way back again. So glad to hear that your husband is currently in remission, I am as well for the time being. What forum were you referring to?

Kathleen I was on Green living Aust. I didn't go on for ages because I had noticed that the owners of the forum considered themselves to be the only knowledgeable people and really ignored any other posts. But as it was still one of the main sources of Australian preserving information ... well when hubby got sick and life got to busy to preserve it was a forum that I simply stopped reading.
