Hello everyone

My name is Michelle and I'm from the south west of WA. I live on a small property with my family, we are working towards being self sufficient with most of our food, so this looks like a great place to start learning how to preserve some of our garden produce:) We also have chickens for eggs and meat, a few dorper sheep and two dexters cows (for meat and hopefully milk).

I look forward to learning from the experts!

Hello Michell,
welcome to our forum where I hope that you find what you are looking for. We are a diverse bunch here coming from all walks to meet and share our self reliance strategies and journey with others which is often a challenge.

I live in the Great Southern on 5 acres, have Dorpers for meat and a small flock of chickens for eggs and meat. While I wanted a cow for milk and beef I have not made any inroads into adding these to our menagerie as yet. We have a large vegetable garden and a re developing an orchard. I preserve, make soap, and dabble in crafts so there is always something to do.
